This science fiction book by Gary Paulsen is just as exciting as his action adventure books. Mark goes on a camping trip in the desert and is caught by a blue light that sends him many years into the future. He finds the world has totally changed. Following a terrible plague that wiped out most of the population, all knowledge has been lost and the people have gone back to a very primitive life style. As he tries to find his way back to his own time, he meets the people inhabiting the land and must fight his way back to reality. Science fiction and fantasy lovers will enjoy this book, as well as those who enjoy Gary Paulsen.
